Diagnoza

The spire is very low and the first coils are sunk a little. The teleoconch coils have a rounded edge some distance from the adapical suture and area between the seam and the edge is concave. The lateral surface and the base are not delimited from one another and are uniformly convex. The last coil hides almost all of the previous coils in the side view. The seam sinks significantly. The sculpture consists of numerous spiral ribs that cover at least the area from the edge to the center of the base and they are wider than the furrows separating them. The growth lines are somewhat reinforced. Between the edge and the center of the base they are roughly straight and prosocline, between the edge and the adapical seam they bend more forward. The aperture is large with a strongly convex outer lip and a slightly concave inner lip. The inner lip is somewhat widened. Its parietal area, with which it is connected to the previous turn, is relatively wide.

Porównanie

Natica texata Lycett, 1863 is very similar (possibly identical); N. guerangeri (Davoust, 1855) is also very similar but It lacks a spire and the umbo is clearer. Natica montreuilensis Hébert & Eudes-Deslongchamps, 1860 has a higher spire, the first coils are not sunk, the coils are more rounded and the concave shell area between the adapical seam and edge is missing.
