Paraberyx bachoviensis was proposed by A. Jerzmańska in 1975
(hand-written notes concerning description of the genus and species).
Information about a new form (Berycidae: Genus indet.)
present at site Bachów was published by Jerzmańska and Kotlarczyk
(1975; p. 880). In 1989, A.F. Bannikov suggested that this
form is a representative of the family Holocentridae (note from archival
