Diagnoza

Involute conch with ventrolateral furrows on the mature living chamber.

Porównanie

The ontogeny of suture was studied by Czarnocki. P. paprothae Korn, 1989 from Grünen Schneid in the Carnic Alps is intermediate between P. distorta and P. paradoxa in having an open umbilicus. Specimens of such morphology occur also in Dzikowiec and Kowala and it remains to be shown whether they represent a separate stage in the evolutionary development of the lineage or only an extreme in the population variability.
