Gatunek typowy
Platyclymenia crassissima Schindewolf, 1955 (=Cycloclymenia costata Lange, 1929) from Beul in the Rhenish slate Mountains.

Opis

Diagnosis. — Widely oval cross section of the conch whorls ornamented with periumbonal ribs at early stages of ontogeny.

Remarks. — If Gyroclymenia Czarnocki,1989 represents ancestral Hexaclymeniidae, it may be homeomorphic to Pleuroclymenia.
