Diagnoza Roundedly triangular conch outline. Porównanie S. paradoxa co-occurs with S. solarioides on the same bedding planes. There is also a great variation in the conch outline among triangular specimens found together, although the sample size is too small to enable reasonable statistics . The single more roundedly triangular specimen described as S. semiparadoxa by Schindewolf,1937 may belong to the same species as an extreme morphology. There seems to be, however, a bimodality in frequency distribution of conch morphologies covering ranges of S. solarioides and S. paradoxa; these thus seem to be biologically meaningful. Because the triangular or regularly spiral coiling starts from almost the beginning of the conch growth, it is unlikely that this is a case of sexual dimorphism.
