Diagnoza

The rather slim shell bears a strong keel a little below the center of the coils. Adapically to the keel are two strong spiral ribs. A third, particularly strong one lies between the keel and the abapical seam. Very numerous, weakly opisthocyte axial ribs (located at the rearmost point on the keel) run from seam to seam and have crenulated spiral ribs and keel. A strong spiral rib located in the seam on the base is followed by three equally strong and several weak spiral ribs. The aperture is broad and oval.

Porównanie

Genus Euglypha is said to have conspicuously keeled coils and also to differ in the number of spiral ribs.
