Porównanie The species differs from its ancestor P. varicostatus in a furth er development of wings at the element bases and from its successor P. insculptus in the lack of a denticle on the inner of these wings . Juvenile specimens do not show diagnostic features of the species, being similar to P. gradatus in their general shape except fo ravery deep cavity within a funnel-shaped base. The wings develop The population described by NOWLAN ( 1981) is less advanced in the development of external processes while the specimens illustrated by HARRIS et al. ( 1979) seem to be more advanced in the same respect , being on the way to P. insculptus Autekologia Występowanie geograficzne Zasięg czasowy According to MCCRACKEN ( 1989) the species ranges from the P. gerdae Subzone of the A. tvaerensis Zone to the A. ordovicicus Zone.
