Diagnoza The shell is broad oval, both ends are rounded almost equally wide. The apex is only slightly in front of the center. The slope from it to both ends is almost straight, slightly steeper forward than backward. Shell is evenly and densely covered with just over 100 radial ribs. They are narrow near the apex, becoming wider and wider towards the apex, and eventually, like a ribbon, separated by narrow furrows. Numerous concentric lines of growths cross the axial ribs and are slightly strengthened on them, suggesting the presence of a hump. Porównanie The nearly identical Bathonian Patella aureliana Cossmann, 1900 is slightly taller and the front is narrower than the back. Other similar species such as Patella rugosa Eudes Deslongchamps, 1843, Patella olinensis Cossmann, 1885, Scurriopsis anglica Haber, 1932, and Acmaea bathonica Cox & Arkell, 1950, have a more oval-shaped housing, among others.
