Weyerognathus triangulus (Voges, 1959) from the Tournaisian Wapnica beds of Dzikowiec in Sudetes.

Diagnoza

Unlike W. inaequalis, the platform of P₁ elements is here always low, with sharp but low ridges. The width of the basal cavity (pit) is also significantly smaller than in the older species of the lineage. Also the rest of the apparatus is less robust than in the ancestral P. inaequalis.

Porównanie

Identification of the species requires a sample of at least a dozen sp elements because of a rather wide population variability.There is a gradual change in the basal cavity of the P₁ elements size that makes discrimination of the chronospecies quite arbitrary.
