Diagnoza The whorls early increase in width in the ontogeny and strongly embrace each other; between 10 and 30 mm the form is more narrowly umbilicated than in other species, the umbilicus size decreases to 1/3 diameter; above 30 mm, the relative umbilical width increases sharply, so that the largest senile whorls are very widely umbilicated. Porównanie The whorl cross-section of the adult form is semicircular as in Gastrioceras rurae only the umbilical wall is more oblique and the umbilical edge is more rounded.
