Diagnoza

Shell is robust, almost as wide as high; protoconch with approximately two coils, smooth; the teleoconch largely sculptureless, with a developing apical concavity in side view; base with umbilical perforation and several spirals; aperture broadly oval with abapical rounding and almost at right angle to parietal and columellar parts of the inner lip.

Porównanie

Resembles the protoconch of a recent Janthina species in terms of shape, sculpture and formation of the mouth.
