According to Korn (1988, 199), the slightly older and possibly ancestral //G. hudsoni //Bisat, 1934 differs in having wider juvenile conchs, ane oblique aperturę with almost no separate ventral sinus at subadult stage. Adult //G. crenistria //may reach 70 mm in diameter, at the last stage developing a little wider umbilicus.
