The juveniles consist of the protoconch and half a teleoconch turn; the protoconch shows a clear rim; about three times as large as the protoconch of M. gruendeli; axial ribs of the teleoconch are clearly parasigmoidally curved on the dorsal side (in M. gruendeli almost straight) and more widely spaced; in contrast to M. gruendeli weaker spirals are almost as strong as the axial ribs.
