Shell medium-sized, sub rectangular, transverse, dorsally geniculated with hinge line and anterior commissure straight, parallel and the latter slightly deflected axially; maximal width probably at hinge line; differ from Leptagonia analogaeformis in the lack of any ornament and in the shape of the pseudospondylium; Glossoleptaena Havlicek, 1967 and Lissoleptaena Havlicek, 1992 differ in having the antero-lateral ridges of the pseudospondylium not joined anteriorly.
