Rodzina Acodontidae

Opis

Elements of the apparatus with blade-like, adenticulated processes.
Morphologically similar elements occur also in the ozarkodinid family Oistodontidae. Nevertheless, the P locations in the oistodontids are occupied by biramous elements while
the S1 elements are triramous (instead of tetraramous in the prioniodontid family Acodontidae), at the best a fourth rudimentary crest develops.
