Diagnoza Shell small to rather small slightly to distinctly transverse (exceptionally longer than wide), ventribiconvex, aequibiconvex or dorsibiconvex; outline rounded, postero-lateral extremities markedly rounded; maximal shell width at 3/4 of its length, maximal thickness in the posterior region; dorsal valve convex, parabolic in anterior view, with very shallow sulcus; ventral valve markedly convex in the umbonal region, lateral slopes convex, somewhat depressed in antero-median region; ornamentation of rounded radial costellae, the median ones straight, the lateral ones bending abaxially, separated by wider furrows, new costellae originating by both intercalation and bifurcation, 3-4 per mm. Porównanie Highly variability – e.g. specimens from Gerolstein (Eifel Mts.) are more finely costate; in the Łysogóry Region, Givetian specimens often have larger interareas; rare very large shells in various localization.
