Gatunek typowy Opis
Type species: Cyclostomaria suessii (Hörnes, 1853) sensu Szabó 1980; Pliensbachian, Hungary. Diagnosis: Circular whorl-section and wide selenizone running near the periphery without angulation. The spire is low with suture situated in a deep groove; the growth-lines are prosocline, somewhat prosocyrt between the suture and the selenizone, strongly prosocyrt below the selenizone, and prosocline, generally sigmoidal on the base; the ornament consists of ridges or flattened nodes, spiral threads, cords and grooves.
