Cyrtoclymenia involuta

Sugerowana cytacja: Dzik,J. 2015. Cyrtoclymenia involuta (Wedekind, 1908) . Ikonoteka (http://ikonoteka.paleo.pan.pl/xwiki/bin/viewrev/Species/Cyrtoclymenia+involuta+)

Diagnoza

Umbo covers somewhat more than one fourth of the whorl diameter, almost equal width and height of the whorl.

Porównanie

This is the oldest member of the Cyrtoclymenia lineage, Praeflexiclymenia curvidorsata being its possible relative. Gomi-monomeroclymenia Humboldti subacuta Sobolew, 1914 , known only from Sieklucki’s brickpit, may be a connecting link between these species (or/and C. acuta).

Wedekind description refers to specimens showing much difference in the whorl width, exceeding that observed in the Holy Cross Mountains material.
