Diagnosis. — The P1 elements with more or less reduced dorsal process, otherwise the apparatus with a generalized polygnathid-like structure; the prioniodinid affinities disclosed only by the ‘enantiognathus’ appearance of S1 elements. Remarks. — The oldest undoubted gondolellid Gondolella is known from the Late Carboniferous. Its apparatus differs from that of Branmehla only in the morphology of element lacking dorsal process but bearing a platform along the ventral process. Juvenile elements of Branmehla closely resemble the paedomorphic Permian and Triassic gondolellid Neospathodus. Synonimy Zasięg czasowy Literatura |
