Diagnoza

Robust S_3-4 elements with short, prominently denticulated external process and wide inner process bearing disproportionally small, inclined denticles.

Porównanie

The apparatus reconstruction of this species is poorly supported despite the characteristic appearance of its diagnostic S_3-4 elements. Such elements in the K. triangularis Zone at Wietrznia are associated with the set of other elements of Idioprioniodus. It has to be noted, however, that this sample significantly differs in age from those with the most typical specimens and the robust appearance of the inner process may be in this case a ‘gerontic’ feature. Some support to so wide a gap in stratigraphic occurrence is offered by a finding of a juvenile specimen with a similar aspect from coeval strata at Jabłonna, in co-occurrence with Uncadina unca. This specimen resembles also Guizhoudella.
