Opis

The selenizone initiates in the second whorl of the teleoconch, and up to this point the shell is planispirally coiled in apical view; position of the slit is on the upper edge of the whorl and with initiation of the slit the whorl diameter increases more rapidly than in the non-slit juvenile shell; ornament of the teleoconch consists of very regular, strong axial ribs; differs from Scissurella by having a planispiral juvenile shell, usually a later begin of the slit and also a lateÍ more rapid begin of increase in shell diameter.
