Palmatolepis rugosa Branson & Mehl, 1934 from the P. jugosus Zone at Ostrówka and the late L. styriacus zone at Kowala in the Holy Cross Mountains - P₁ and P₂ elements.

Diagnoza

P₁ elements with transversely ribbed anterior lobe.

Porównanie

There is a gap in occurrence between P. trachytera and P. rugosa in the Holy Cross Mountains but the laterally sinuous shape of P₂ elements suggests a close relationship between these species. In some specimens of late P. trachytera the anterior ridge splits into a row of tubercles. There would not be much to change this into the tuberculated anterior field of P. rugosa, but the change remains to be domonstrated.
