Diagnoza

Smooth, cylindrical crest concave axially. Two large, flattened lobe−shaped  radial processes well developed, either connected proximally to form a large oval foramen, or disconnected and defining a C−shaped slit.

Porównanie

This cyclocystoid is quite unlike any other species described. Slight morphological similarities do suggest, however, that it could be ancestral to Apparatocycloides satanus Boczarowski, 2001.

Zasięg czasowy

Middle Frasnian: late Palmatolepis hassi to Palmatolepis jamieae Zones and early Palmatolepis hassi to early Palmatolepis rhenana Zones.

Materiały muzealne

Holotype: GIUS 4−793 Wie./524/2 and 25 specimens.
