Gatunek typowy
Platyclymenia crassissima Schindewolf, 1955 (=Cycloclymenia costata Lange, 1929) from Beul in the Rhenish slate Mountains.

Opis

Diagnosis. — Widely oval cross section of the conch whorls ornamented with periumbonal ribs at early stages of ontogeny.

Remarks. — Czarnocki introduced new genus Gyroclymenia, believing that its species are ancestral Hexaclymeniidae, being just homeomorphic to those of Pleuroclymenia.
