Diagnoza

Shell elongate, 1.85 times as high as broad. Protoconch medioaxial, smooth. Teleoconch starting with one prominent and one subsutural spiral rib. Whorls angulated at medial spiral ribs, which are almost keel-like. Spiral ribs crossed by prosocline axial ribs.

Porównanie

P. gruendeli is similar to P. naricata but it differs by the smooth protoconch, stable number of spiral ribs, and the abapical spiral rib forming the incipient keel.
