Diagnoza The shell is moderately slim, initially has slightly convex, later straight flanks. The seams are emphasized by a narrow heel on the following coil. The flanks are densely covered with spiral furrows consisting of small pits (at least 20 from seam to seam). The base is convex. The growth lines are almost straight and orthocline on the flanks, prosocyrt on the base. The teardrop-shaped aperture is adapically sharply pointed, abapically rounded. Porównanie Melania lineata Sowerby, 1818 has a slimmer shell, the coils are higher in relation to their width, a clear concavity is formed under the seam. Pseudomelania sp. 1 is also slimmer, the base is set off from the base at early coils by an edge, the lateral lines of later coils are circa concave and the pit sculpture is missing.
