Diagnoza

Denticles developed only on one side of the sharp ridge formed by the blade; left and right elements only slightly differ in their axial symmetry.

Porównanie

This is probably a successor of P. jugosus, but it apparently originated as a result of allopatric speciation and their ranges partially overlap in Polish sections. They probably were adapted to different environment, but the nature of these differences remain to be clarified.

Zasięg czasowy

Late P. jugosus to the end of the Famennian.
