Diagnoza Porównanie Small species, the size of the extant white-spotted flufftail Sarothrura pulchra; as in Belgirallus very deep extremitas sternalis of the furcula; in contrast to most Rallidae very narrow extremitas sternalis of the furcula. Narrow pelvis and very long first phalanges of toes distinguish the fossil from the Paleogene Messelornithidae. Autekologia Wide extremitas sternalis furculae in combination with the long hand section of the wing it may indicate that had better developed flight capabilities than most extant Rallidae.
