Diagnoza

Postero-lateral extremities auriculate to various degree, in some cases a broad and shallow U-shaped lateral indentation of the lateral margin being present in the posterior part; ventral valve convex in the umbonal region, otherwise weakly convex to flat or resupinate, with koskinoid perforations in the umbonal region; dorsal valve weakly to strongly convex; ventral interarea apsacline; dorsal interarea anacline, linear to lowly triangular; chilidium striate; ornamentation consisting of radial costae and costellae appearing by intercalation, first thin and low, then of the same thickness and height as the costae.xystostrophia_umbraculum_ZPAL_Bp.VII_17_1_1_Pl.9_figs.11-12_900x600.jpg

Porównanie

Schellwienella umbraculum minor Biernat, 1954 (Late Emsian of Grzegorzowice) lacks crenulated costellae and its dorsal interarea is virtually absent.

Eifel Mts. (Germany), Skały (Holy Cross Mts., Poland), Belgium (Ardennes), Morocco (Qebel Issimouv, Anti-Atlas) and probably material from Myanmar, Czech Rep., Spain and Russia.

Mid Devonian, Mid Eifelian to Early Givetian.
