Diagnoza

Shell small, slightly wider than long, maximum width at hinge line; ventral valve markedly convex, umbo thick; ventral interarea twice higher than the dorsal one; four-lobed cardinal process ventrally directed; ventral costae thin, rounded; costellae separated by usually wider furrows; dorsal costae somewhat thicker; 4-5 per mm at the anterior margin.

Porównanie

Polish specimens are wider and their costation is somewhat coarser.

Eifel Mts. In Germany (synclines Prüm, Gerolstein, Hillesheim and Ahrdorf) and Łysogóry in Poland.
