Specimens probably come from the Frech's collection. No label has been preserved but nautiloids from the same collection preserved in identical way have labels indicating Carolina mine in Upper Silesia (see Dzik 1984: pl. 34: 6,8, pl. 38: 2) so these are presumably topotypes from the Gaebler marine horizon lb.
