Diagnoza Subsphaerocone shell with wide, evenly-rounded venter and whorl depressed dorso-ventrally, being about three-fifths as high as it is wide; umbilicus deep and about a one-third of shell-diameter; there are three to four growth lines by 1 mm on the venter of the septate portion of the mature shell but on the shell of the body chamber they are often finer, closer and not so regularly spaced; growth-lines are radial or directed slightly forward in a low curve across the umbilical flank; they are then deflected backwards across the sides of the shell; broad V-shaped first lateral lobe tends to be acuminate and is followed by a lower, rounded, second lateral saddle and this crosses the umbilical flank and shoulder and joins with a shallow V-shaped lobe centring on the umbilical wall.
