Diagnoza

The shell is high cup-shaped; the apex is shifted a little forward. The early part of the shell is separated from the following area, which suddenly expands to the rear (in side view). At the front end there is a wide furrow with several weak radial ribs and some growth lines that are bent downwards. The rest of the shell is covered with strong radial ribs, 28 near the apex and around 48 at the edge of the shell. Here, a strong radial rib often alternates with a weaker one. A little weaker are the numerous concentric ribs that cusp the radial ribs. The pitted sculpture pattern formed in this way covers the entire bowl.

Porównanie

Deslongchampsia eugenei Morris & Lycett, 1851 has a much lower shell. Patella appendiculata Eudes-Deslongchamps, 1843 has fewer axial ribs and the concentric sculpture is weaker.
