Diagnoza

Shell about 3.5 mm long; smooth protoconch; teleoconch with 24‒26 strong radial ribs and a few distinctly weaker ribs between them in anterior part of the shell; also about 20 concentric ribs weaker than the radial ones with the crossing points not thickened; radial and concentric ribs form rectangular areas; every area has two distinct grooves.

Porównanie

E. scalaris Sowerby, 1818 is very similar but has only 17‒18 strong radial ribs, weaker radial ribs in the front part of the shell and the pits in the rectangular fields are missing.
