Diagnoza

Prominent longitudinal striation extends over the whole conch.Adults may reach 70 mm in diameter developing numerous transverse furrows at the conch wall near the aperturę.f

Porównanie

The species may be a continuation of the trend represented by G. fimbriatus but it shows close similarities also to G. globosostriatus (Schmidt, 1925), occurring in the Rhenish Massif below G. crenistria, which may mean that they represent a lineage developing independently of G. crenistria-G. fimbriatus.
