Diagnoza Shell involute at all stages; closely allied to H. varicatum, but has, in serpenticone stage, slightly stronger ornament, stronger plications at the umbilical edge in early adolescence with several striae between the plications, and an earlier lingual bow. Porównanie A successor of Homoceras; differs from H. prereticulatum in that its ornament is much weaker and the direction of the plications on emerging from the umbilicus is radial, not prorsiradiate.
