Diagnoza

The shell flanks are strongly bevelled, concave and covered with straight, somewhat opisthocline axial ribs (23–24 on the last coil). Their tips are visible above the seam and make it wavy. The outer edge area of the base is concave and sculptured with slightly reinforced growth lines. This is followed by a slightly convex area, covered with approx. 12 spiral ribs of roughly equal strength. The central area is deepened and closed at the base by the widened inner lip. The growth lines run on the base strongly prosocline and opisthocyrt. The aperture is elongated rhomboidal.

Porównanie

Most similar Bajocian Trochus ornatissimus d'Orbigny, 1853 has a more convex base. Lamelliphorus heberti and L. rhombifer (Uhlig, 1881) do not have convex-concave flanks and axial and spiral ribs are less numerous.
