Diagnoza Shell medium-sized to large, moderately transverse, usually aequibiconvex with straight posterior margin and rounded postero-lateral and antero-lateral extremities; maximal width at midlength or towards the anterior margin; maximal thickness in the posterior region; anterior commissure approximately rectimarginate; dorsal valve with very shallow sulcus beginning at the umbo and gradually widening anteriorly; ornamentation of radial costellae, the medium ones straight, the lateral ones bending abaxially; costellae originating by bifurcation at all levels, then gradually thickening. Porównanie Differences between material of Sobolew (1909) and Halamski (2009) apparently result from intraspecific variability.
