Diagnoza

P₁ element with relatively short blade armed with numerous sharp but relatively robust denticles with a tendency to develop peniculus at late ontogenetic stages.

Porównanie

This is clearly a close relative and successor of M. strigosa. Co-occurrence of triramous S₁ elements may also be an expression of proximity to that species. The main difference is in P series elements, with P₁ element being more compact and robust than in M. strigosa, whereas in P₂ elements the tendency to develop peniculus seems to be not represented (not all specimens of M. strigosa show it).
