Diagnoza

The shell is very broadly conical with a low spire. The coils are slightly concave. Axial ribs or reinforced growth lines are visible only on the early coils. There is a continuous transition from slender, highly conical specimens with concave flanks to very wide, low forms.

Porównanie

Similar individual variability is present in Pyrgotrochus elongatus (Sowerby, 1818) (Fischer & Weber, 1997).
