Diagnoza

Test ornamented with closely set, feebly crenulate or merely roughened, transverse striae, radial on the flank, which bend forward into a well marked but moderately broad lingua and with a hyponomic sinus;  younger specimens show subordinate spirals, but these become obsolescent later in life.

Porównanie

R. eoreticulatum and its allies are difficult to distinguish from species in the R. nodosum zone, which have closely similar direction of the striae; the most reliable distinction appears to be the absence of true crenulation in the R. eoreticulatum group, the transverse striae being merely slightly roughened.
