Diagnoza

Mature whorls somewhat higher than wide; umbilicus covering less than half of the conch diameter; juvenile whorls with sharp ribs on flanks.

Porównanie

From Platyclymenia annulata (Münster, 1832), the population variability of which was presented by Korn , the Polish species differs in higher, more angular whorls and narrower umbilicus. Cyrtoclymenia laxata and P. intracostata Czarnocki,1989  are probably mature specimens of the same species.
