Porównanie

The coils increase rapidly in height and their width decreases during ontogenesis. The coils are slightly convex, the seams are inconspicuous. An indistinct subsutural concavity forms on the last turn. Any sculpture is missing. The aperture is broadly oval. Ataphrus papillus (Hébert & Eudes-Deslongchamps,1860), with which Laube (1867) equates its species, has a significantly wider shell with more convex coils, the subsutural concavity is missing and the whorl expansion rate remains roughly constant throughout the ontogeny.
