Densely distributed transverse furrow of the kind appearing close to aperturę of G. spirifer develop already at the late juvenile stage.

Porównanie

The main difference from the possibly ancestral G. spirifer is the evoluteness of the earliest ontogenetic stages, used by Korn (1988) to separate these species on generic level. Juveniles develop a prominent ventral lobe in the aperturę, a feature that wass inherited by later members of the lineage and was proposed to define the next generic level boundare by Korn (1988)
