Diagnoza
Shell globose, rounded in early stages, becoming subglobose to thick discoidal and subrectangular in cross section at maturity, involute; flanks and venter with 65 to 80 longitudinal lirae crossed by fine transverse lirae and three of fourth growth constrictions per whorl; on adult conch fine granules ornament the longitudinal lirae; suture like that of G. choctawensis.
Porównanie
May be a descendant of G. tumidus, which shows already a tendency to develop very low coils at early stages of the ontogeny.
