From G. crenistria differs in a more prominent crenulation of growth lines that in the umbonal part of the conch transform into a longitudinal straiation, in a wider umbilicus and weak ventrolateral lobes of the aperturę at subadult stages. Adults reached larger sizees than related species of the genus.
